How long it will last depends on a lot of factors, which include colours applied, skin type, your age and your lifestyle. When lighter colours are used these will fade quicker than stronger colours. Also, as skin becomes thinner with age this can have an effect on the longevity of the makeup and exposure to too much sun can also decrease the life of the semi permanent makeup, so use a good sun lotion to protect your skin!
On average, you will probably notice the effects starting to fade slightly after about 6 months, but it should a year to a year and a half before the fading becomes noticeable.
What Does It Look Like After The Treatment?
The colours might look stronger than desired and there might be slight swelling, mainly if the treatments have been applied to the lips or eyes. But the effect is more than likely to look like a heavy application of cosmetics rather than an unsightly mess that has to be hidden!
Will It Hurt?
A topical anesthetic can be applied prior to and during the course of the treatment to prevent any discomfort. On the first application you might feel a slight stinging or scratching feeling, but on a course of 3 – 5 treatments you are unlikely to notice anything on the further treatments.
